Manitoba Distributors Direct Vendor's License

As residents of Manitoba, the government requires that you obtain an individual Direct Seller's Licence in order to do business. This requirement is for all individuals participating in a direct selling opportunity in the province of Manitoba as either a resident or sponsor of a new Distributor and/or customer.

This legislation in Manitoba has been a part of their consumer protection plan for several years and actually protects your business by ensuring that you are following the standards set forth by the government.

Although this may seem inconvenient for some, Organo Gold promises to do our best to get you and your business underway and successful.

Below is a series of questions and answers regarding this initiative. We hope these will help make this process as understandable and as easy as possible.

Who is required to obtain an individual Direct Seller's Licence?

• Anyone currently residing in Manitoba who wants to become or is a Distributor with Organo Gold.
• Anyone who sponsors a new Distributor from Manitoba. This applies to all global residents.
• Anyone gathering customers from Manitoba for any of the products.

What if I already have a Direct Seller's Licence from a different direct selling company? Can I use that?

• No, unfortunately, the Licence is company-specific, so one must be purchased for each direct selling company you may be involved with.

Once I have completed the application, where do I send it?

• The completed original application should be sent to 12148 Horseshoe Way, Richmond, BC, V7A 4V5.
• Once the application is received at that address, it will be signed by an authorized agent at Organo Gold and sent directly, by courier, to the Manitoba Licensing Officers. They will approve the application and send the Direct Selling Licence by fax and regular mail to the home office in Richmond, BC.
• At this point, the Licence number will be entered into the system, and the new Distributor Agreement or customer will be completed. Keep in mind that the sponsor must also have an approved Direct Seller's Licence before the new Agreement, or the customer will become active.

How long should I expect this process to take?

• We will do everything we can to speed this process along, and we have been assured by the Manitoba Licensing Department that they will do all they can to get these out the door as quickly as possible. However, because of the time required, while they are being processed by Manitoba, you should expect a 2 to 3-week turnaround.

What should I do with the new prospect and the Agreement until then?

You have a couple of options when deciding what to do with the new Distributor Agreement;

• The Agreement will be placed in inactive status until the Direct Seller's Licence is received by Organo Gold from the Manitoba Licensing Department. For example, if the new Agreement is entered on September 22nd, it will be in the system in an inactive status until we've received the application back on or about October 6th, the new Distributor's official start date will be October 6th. Again, the sponsor's application must also be back in the home office in order for that position to become active.

• You can also hold off on entering your new Distributor and wait to enter a customer in Manitoba until we have received your approved Direct Seller's Licence back. Organo Gold will contact you once the Application is received, approved, and we have your licence number.

What is the fee for a Direct Seller's Licence in Manitoba?

• There is a $55 (CND) fee for obtaining a Licence, and this fee will go directly to the Manitoba Government. All cheques need to be made out to the Minister of Finance, Government of Manitoba. To submit your license/registration fee payment by Visa or MasterCard, please visit www.cpopayment.com. It's simple, secure and available 24 hours a day; seven days a week. Please mail the payment confirmation number along with the original signed application form for processing.
• This is a separate fee from the Organo Gold opportunity and not a part of the Kit cost, so please keep that in mind as you are discussing this with any potential new Distributors.

Is there a renewal fee?

• Yes, there is a $55 (CDN) yearly renewal fee for your Manitoba Direct Seller's Licence. You will receive a renewal reminder 4 to 6 weeks prior to your expiry from the Manitoba Licensing Department.
